In the milder and moderate cases of addictions, the long-term use of the addictive substance may or may not have affected the individual in the spirit. This is the main reason why the secular and other treatment approaches had a much higher rate of relapse.

As opposed to this, the treatment at a Christian treatment facility always lays a special emphasis on the spiritual healing and growth of the individual by way of the various Christian religious activities like the regular church services, the religious counseling sessions with the pastor and the faith counselor and the regular prayer and study sessions of the Bible and other religious scripture. This helps the person develop faith and grow in the spirit. These activities combined with the best techniques of the secular approach to treat the physical and psychological needs of the treatment are what make the Christian treatment program for drug and alcohol addiction the best till date.
